How’s Traditional Breakfast in Puerto Rico?

Breakfasts on the island frequently feature hearty, savory dishes. Some common choices are:
- Mofongo — mashed fried plantains
- Bacalao guisado — codfish stew
- Mallorcas — sweet bread rolls dusted with powdered sugar
- Pan de guayaba — guava bread
- Café con leche — strong, sweet coffee, balanced with steamed milk. This is a must in an authentic Puerto Rican breakfast.
So, grab your appetite, and get ready to experience breakfast like a true local!

Chocobar Cortés

Chocobar Cortés is not your average restaurant. This award-winning restaurant in Puerto Rico is known for taking chocolate to a whole new level, incorporating it into almost every (YES! YOU READ RIGHT) dish and drink on the menu – we’re talking chocolate burgers, chocolate beer, and even fries with chocolate sauce!
Backstory: This innovative and fun concept was created in honor of Chocolate Cortés, a Caribbean family business crafting chocolate since 1929.
But this restaurant is not unique only because of its creative menu. Every corner of the building is absolutely stunning, with themed decor and walls covered in retro art that you can admire from your table – add a cup of hot chocolate with some chocolate pancakes and you have the perfect recipe for a great start to your day! Instagrammable & delicious!
